Hours saved per year
- TomTom traffic information in real time
- Data for all road sections
- Always the fastest current route
- More precise calculation of the arrival time (ETA)
MapTrip Truck calculates the fastest route based on real-time traffic data. This pays off in shorter journey times.
The calculation is based on a typical truck reference route of 800 km in length using navigation software with and without MapTrip Truck. The comparative measurement was carried out on six days in February 2023 at six different departure times from morning to evening. The average time saved on the reference highway route was 25 minutes. Source: own measurement.

Less data consumption per month
- More efficient route calculation
- Less mobile data required
- Save money on your cell phone plan
Although MapTrip Truck uses live data, the software is very data-efficient. This pays off. When a vehicle is in use for 9 hours, comparable navigation systems consume up to 1.35 GB of data per month. MapTrip performs much better here with an average of 270 MB.

Save fuel costs per month
- The search for the cheapest gas station along the route is already integrated in MapTrip Truck
- Price and individual savings are displayed directly on the app
Filling up cheaply is very easy with MapTrip Truck. The difference between the most expensive filling station and the cheapest option can easily be more than 20 cents per liter.
In our example, we compared the cheapest diesel price on a reference route with the average prices at other filling stations on a key date in March 2023. In this case, the difference was 11 cents. Converted to average consumption, monthly mileage and your fleet, this gives you the savings.

For instance
- MapTrip Truck contains the truck-relevant driving restrictions along your route
- Prohibitions and restrictions are taken into account in the calculation
Fines are unpleasant and put a direct strain on your margins. MapTrip Truck contains very precise data on restrictions such as clearance heights.
The fine for ignoring clearance heights is 100€. In our example, we assume one fine per vehicle in your fleet, which can be avoided with MapTrip Truck.

The best route to the job site
Since 2000, MapTrip has been developing specialized truck navigation for all industries where every minute counts. Or to the second, as with our solutions for Emergency services, Police and Fire Departments. Because emergency vehicles drive differently. Blue light routing can be activated in MapTrip 112 on the last few meters to the destination. Destinations in a park or pedestrian zone are then approached directly. The driving instructions are adapted to the route. Turn restrictions can be ignored.
Edit it yourself
You can use the editor to edit the navigation map yourself. Add closures where there are roadworks or where roads cannot be used by large vehicles. You can also remove closures so that your MapTrip 112 Navigation can drive on roads (e.g. pedestrian zones or bus lanes) that are closed to other road users.
Ideal for developers
MapTrip offers very powerful interfaces. Almost all functions can be addressed directly via API. Custom solutions and integrations are possible with little effort.
Navigation precisely planned in the control center
The route that the dispatcher sees in the control center must be the same as the route taken by the navigation app. This can be ensured with MapTrip and the Server API. Both use the same routing algorithm and the same map data. Synchronization functions ensure that the planned route is identical to the route in the turn-by-turn GPS navigation in the vehicle.
